SYNOPSIS
The elder Magus of the Thelemic Temple of Horus just passed away. Jack Mason, a promising young sex magickian cultivated to advance the lineage, loses it all when the elder Magus' biological son (Duncan Cook) unexpectedly inherits everything with plans to commercialize the Temple. Jack plots deadly revenge and falls into a dizzying maze of underworld encounters with professional psychopaths, desert brujas, and a twist of fate he never saw coming. Meanwhile, Jack Mason's hot-headed apprentices offer cryptic narrative via their hilarious performances of the classic fairy tale, Jack and The Beanstalk.

Thu, March 24, 2011 - 3:53 PMThis film's next SF Bay area screening is Friday April 8th at 8pm at the Subterranean Arthouse, 2179 Bancroft Way (nr Oxford) in downtown Berkeley (three blocks from BART. Admission there is $8-15 sliding scale. I'll also be on hand for post-screening Q&A.
